Winter: Grab your snowshoes! And yes, the most beautiful summer hikes can be done even in the snow. Enthusiasts can practice Ski Mountaineering and cross-country skiers are not forgotten with our 200km of cross-country ski trails (56 km in the Arvieux Valley - trail map). Don't forget alpine skiing (18km of runs from 1650 to 2200 meters altitude - trail map), snowboarding, and all of these activities right at the hotel's doorstep! Our more courageous guests will climb the icefall in Ceillac and our more romantic guests will choose sled dog rides.

Spring: Nature comes alive! After several months of being covered in snow, the flora and fauna begin to come out again. Go discover them by hiking the many trails of Queyras. You'll also find lakes, alpine chalets, and magnificent landscapes. And for those of you who are athletic, you can climb the famous Izoard pass, one of the most famous mountain passes of the High Alps.

Summer: Things you won't want to miss: the village of St-Veran, the highest town in Europe (2040m), the Queyras castle, and the costume museum in Abriès. For those of you who are more athletic: rock climbing, via ferrata, and rafting. For the youth: summer toboggans and tree climbing.

Autumn: While awaiting the first snowfall, you can admire the myriad of colors of the larch trees before they lose their needles.

Located in the heart of the Val d'Azur, one of the four valleys of Queyras, the Val d’Arvieux is a lush, green valley where time seems to have come to a standstill which is perfect for a nature walk or a hike in the fresh air.

Arvieux thrives on snowfall and winter sports! Alpine skiing, ski trekking and snowboarding for thrill seekers, cross-country skiing and snowshoeing for lovers of the outdoors.

Arvieux sets the pace for the summer months with events like the Eco-Tourism and Wellness Fair and Expo or, for those who love thrills, a Longboard competition at the Col d'Izoard. On the agenda: freeride competition including longboard skateboard, streetluge, buttboard, skate boarders, roller bladers at Col d'Izoard. 8 km of descent and more than 500m vertical drop!

The Col de l'Izoard

The Col de l'Izoard (Izoard Pass) links the Queyras to Briançon and is closed during the winter due to the snowfall. In spring, the Col de l'Izoard sees snowshoers and ski tourers make way for cyclists... In the summer, the Col de l'Izoard becomes a hot spot for cycling.

The famous cycling race, the Tour de France, has made the Col de l'Izoard a must along the itinerary, having crossed over the pass 32 times since 1922. Rising to an altitude of 2361 meters, the pass links Briançon to Arvieux and is ranked as an hors catégorie climb.
